About Us

In 2000, Betty's Children's Academy emerged to educate, inspire and enrich the lives of infants, toddlers and preschool children living in the Bay Area. In 2004, we expanded our services from family childcare center to a preschool and child care center. This program also includes school age children. In 2010, Betty's Children's Academy self published an academic journal named "Ready Set Go-Preparing Preschoolers for Kindergarten".

Our Accomplishments
- 2011, 2010, 2009: Recipient of "Best in Oakland" Child Care Services from the U.S. Commerce Association
- 2011: Awardee and Scholarship recipient under recognition of Oakland Chapter~ National Coalition of 100 Black Women
- 2011: Grant from Digital Intelligence Systems Coporation for our commitment to education and our community
- 2010: Federal grant for our very own community garden
- 2009: Nominated in the "Best of the Bay"
- 2009: Publication of our first preschool academic journal- "Ready Set Go! Preparing Preschoolers for Kindergarten"
- 2008: $10,000 Quality Improvement Grant to enhance health and safety equiptment for our infant/toddler program (cribs, changing table, divider, etc)
- 2008: Best Child Care in Alameda County~Best of the Bay
- 2007: $50,000 LIIF Grant for a play structure and yard enhancements (flooring)
We are proud of the continued success over the past decade and we look forward to a bright future.
